Event Description

Should a used car refurbishing facility for 10,039 cars with 190,000 sq. ft. repair center be developed on vernal pool wetlands in West Placer? On November 3rd,  11 am, the Board of Supervisors will hear a citizens’ appeal of a project approved by the Zoning Administrator, which would permit a Carvana used car center to be constructed on wetlands.  We are asking that the approval be rescinded until 1) there is a Project Level EIR, 2) economic impacts and tax implications to existing auto dealerships and the City of Roseville are evaluated and 3)an analysis of how dumping fuels and solvents, replaced interior and exterior car parts will affect our landfill’s life expectancy and groundwater supplies.  When the Agenda is posted, the time and Zoom access instructions will be posted on this site.
