AEL Volunteer Perk for Architects-in-Training

Did you know that architects-in-training must log 3,740 hours of experience in their field as part of their application for licensure? Now licensure candidates can apply AEL volunteer hours towards this requirement! We are officially a pre-approved community-based design center/collaborative with NCARB (National Council of Architectural Registration Boards). Licensure candidates may earn up to 320 hours of experience for volunteer service working with us. We are excited about this opportunity because it is a great way to say thank you to our Urban Planning Squad and attract new design-professional volunteers.

Thank you to board member and resident architect Mike Lehmberg for signing up as the architect-supervisor to make this certification happen.

Do you know an architect-in-training who may like to take advantage of this opportunity? Invite them to the Urban Planning Squad! We are working on exciting projects like the Auburn Masterplan and are open to supporting new ideas. Connect prospective volunteers with Genevieve at [email protected].
