Call to Action

Project 8 Winery Immediate Next Steps

Dear Concerned Neighbor,

I’m so sorry for this late notification.

Many of you have asked what you can still do to make your objections and concerns known about the Project 8 Winery event center and restaurant.

As it looks right now, the proposal will go to the Placer County Board of Supervisors as an action item for a vote on Tuesday, June 20th.

Here is what you can do this evening and tomorrow evening! Attend a MAC meeting and make a public comment. Supervisors who will have the final vote will be at these meetings.

Supervisor Suzanne Jones

The Planning Commission voted to recommend Project 8 and the ZTA height exemption to allow an 80 ‘ rotating restaurant tower on the ridgetop; extend hours for restaurant operation until 10:00 pm each night; increase numbers of guests allowed at events, permit outdoor amplified sound, no maximum of total number of guests and visitors at the Project 8 Center, no follow-up testing for the toxic level of arsenic found on the building site and give the developer a 5 year Conditional Use Permit with these special privileges.

Your Placer County Supervisors can change any of these conditions if they choose to do so.

Make your voice heard. Right now attending one of these meetings is as important as the generous financial pledges many of you have made to continue a legal fight against Project 8.

With Gratitude,
Patty Neifer
